Licensing and Registration
Regulatory Body: Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand (PBNZ)
APRHA register physiotherapists are entitled to seek registration in New Zealand under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (TTMR) Act (The Parliamentary Counsel Office, 2023).
Process: 1. Submit application → Application is reviewed → Registration approved →2. Apply for APC → APC approved → Issued a Health Practitioner Index (HPI)

- Police Certificates from any country you lived in for more than 12 months in the last 10 years since the age of 18

2. Apply for Annual Practising Certificate (APC) – $414
Annual Practising Certificate is required for anyone practising physiotherapy in New Zealand in any voluntary or paid role.
It should take 1-2 weeks for APC to be reviewed and approved.
